Researchers of the Arcane arts. Throughout the Deochs Wizards have gone through an interesting cycle. They began as offensive spellcasters, casting spells alongside a warrior or monk, or even another wizard. Deochs past, and Wizards mainatined their offensive role. However, one day by chance, a wizard in Undine was told by another wizard there about the "Fas Nadur" spell, and history was significantly altered. Wizards were no longer Offensive casters, but Defensive casters, casting Fas Nadur on creatures left, and right. With the indroduction of Mastering, Wizards took another turn. As "Leech" machines. Pian Na dion allowed a wizard to deal damage to a target, without drawing it's attention. Life seemed to be going downhill. 15-some odd Deochs later, Aislings discover Lynith Beach, where Dark Necklaces appear once again. The Wizard spell Mor Strioch Pian Gar becomes a useful hunting tool with one of these necklaces. With the introduction of Grandmaster quests, Wizards get another couple boosts. Greaves that give them an extra 5000 mana points, as well as a spell that converts Hit points to Mana points. Pure-pathed Wizard stalves are changed to cast all spells with no cast lines, and Sub-Classed Wizards get spells with 1 cast line. All is well in the land of the wizard. Small changes have been made to deprove the new found power of the wizard, for sake of "Balance" but they still remain a powerful, and essential part of any hunt. Priest/Wizards can easily hunt in areas up to East Woods 20 alone, if they are skillful. Pure-Pathed Wizards, together with a Pure-Pathed Priest can 2-man the Cthonic Remains, if skillful. Wizards have once again become a force to be reckoned with.
